AL AIN NATIONAL MUSEUM - Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates
"A country without a past has neither present nor future" according to His Highness Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan. Al Ain National Museum which is over eighty years old and considered to be one of the largest museums in the Middle East. This reflects the secluded past of the UAE as well as the more recent past.
The museum is divided into two sections: Archaeological and Ethnographical. Archaeological sections such Stone Age, Bronze Age, Iron Age culture and Hellenistic era that shows the evidence of cultures which survived under harsh conditions and communications with other cultures outside the immediate area. Ethnographical part displays the story of the UAE people in the pre-oil era and since its origin like childhood & education, jewelry and the bride, agriculture, etc. The museum also gives you some important discoveries such as silver coin, gold pendants, flint artifacts, Hili settlement, etc. There is an entrance fee of 1dh for the adult. DHOW HARBOR - Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates
One of the historical places in Abu Dhabi is the Dhow Harbor, near Port Zayed on the north-eastern tip of the island. This is where you can watch the sunset with the traditional dhows returning from the sea. Each dhow seems like home for the fishermen as the same time a floating fish factory. It is loaded with drums, fishing gears, drying washing, pots and pans, etc. It also has Dinner dhow that departs from here and a several restaurants at Al Dhafra for the food lover. The Quay a small market is present at Dhow Harbor just in case have to buy something from the market. Astonishingly this market does excellent business.
You can visit Dhow Harbor any day from Saturday to Thursday. Dhow Harbor is not available on Friday. For better viewing, try and reach the harbor before five in the evening.

HERITAGE VILLAGE - Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates
One of the tourist attractions in Abu Dhabi is the Heritage Village. Heritage Village is located along Mussafa Road, Abu Dhabi. It is placed in the middle of Abu Dhabi. This place shows the lifestyle and traditions of Bedouin culture and pre-oil era. It also features exhibitions about the prehistoric irrigation system, workshops of craftsmen and a museum. Inside the museum is the village exhibits jewelry, ancient diving equipments, garments, Holy Quran, coins, and old weaponry. Visitors can also view mud-brick houses, a traditional mosque, a traditional market and demonstration of the sport of falconry. Also, inside the Heritage Village, Abu Dhabi is the Hili Gardens which has the four thousand years old tombs.
After seeing all of these you may taste the Bedouin meal and buy for souvenir at the village.

GRAND MOSQUE - Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates

This is the newest attraction in the city that accommodates more than 30,000 worshippers. The best feature of this is the Islamic designs are the interiors and landscaped gardens around the main building.
This mosque if open for visitors of all nationalities for educational tours but there are some dress and behavior code being implemented here such as dress should be modest, conservative, loose fitting clothing; long sleeves, long skirts and trousers, no transparent clothes, no shorts for men, no swimwear or beachwear, shoes should be removed before entering the mosque, headscarf is necessary for ladies, holding hands or any intimate behaviors is not acceptable, smoking is not allowed in the mosque area and visitors are requested not to touch the Holy Quran and other architectural elements inside the main prayer hall.

AL HOSN PALACE - Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates
Also known as Old Fort or White Fort, Al Hosn Palace is the oldest building in Abu Dhabi which is built in 1793. It is situated along Sheikh Zayed Bin Sultan Al Nahyan and on the same compound as the Cultural Foundation. After the interior of the palace was renovated it now becomes the Center of Documentation and Research.
The palace has a museum that includes the customary artifacts and photographs. It also displays the history of Abu Dhabi with the some weapons that were used during Abu Dhabi's revolution.
