CORNICHE ABU DHABI - Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates
For those who want to refresh and unwind, Corniche in Abu Dhabi is the best place to go. It is a six km long road and 4 miles from the Sheraton Hotel to the Hilton Hotel. It is a very peaceful place and suitable for those who loves to walk, jog, cycle and rollerblade during evening/morning. The view is perfect with fountain and lush green gardens, with a modern building facing the sea for the background.
It is also a place for swimming and picnic for families and friends. Children can play in the open space. Swimming areas defined and monitored by lifeguards. They are trained and well-equipped with seven surveillance towers. For those who want to avoid the heat of the sun, there are 70 beach umbrellas and there's central building for refreshments, changing rooms and even mosque for praying.
LULU ISLAND - Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates
On April 2007, a 1,050 acre man-made island off the Coast of Abu Dhabi Island was opened and called Lulu Island. It stretches from the Abu Dhabi Breakwater to the Zayed Sea Port. It is very close to Abu Dhabi corniche so it is very accessible for everyone. You may take a boat that has capacity of 25 people or a sea bus with capacity of 60 people in order to reach the island. It has a lifejackets for your safety.
People usually enjoy the amenities there such as marinas, gardens, canals, botanical gardens, children play zone, etc. Also, you will see people having BBQ and picnic. And, if you are tired of playing and swimming there is an open-roof train that gives you an opportunity to tour around the island. After that you may catch again the train or bus in the selected bus stop to bring you back to pier to catch the boat ride back to the town.

Central Public Gardens
Central Public Gardens, the largest park and the major attraction of Al Ain. Children have fun with its huge playground where they can do wall climbing, grass skiing and others. One of its attractions is the musical dancing fountain that keeps changing shapes and lighting effects. This Garden is located just west of the clock tower roundabout in the Town center.
Sheikh Khalifa Park
One of the most exceptional parks in Abu Dhabi is the Sheikh Khalifa Park. Its exceptional architecture reflects both Arabic and Islamic design, as inspired by the renown gardens in the world. The relaxing ambiance of fountains, lakes and canals make it a popular destination for locals and tourist alike. It is located in Al Matar Area near Al Bateen Airport.
Zalamat Garden
For a more peaceful and relaxing experience, head to the Zalamat Garden in Bainunah street just opposite the Intercontinental Hotel. With abundant shade and a hush atmosphere, you can easily get some well-earned rest under the trees without being bothered by the noise from the adjacent street.
Khalidiya Garden
It is one of the famous parks in the city. It is quite huge and has a variety of rides and play equipment that will bring joy to the children and toddlers most especially the "robot bear". Basically a family park with lovely grassy areas suited for picnics, large trees for excellent for shades, its wall-to wall inflatable and barbecues. An additional feature of the park is the Abu Dhabi Cooperative society so you can shop while the kids are playing. Rides fee varies but the standard entrance fee remains at Dhs 1.
Capital Garden
Capital Garden also known as "Asima Gardens" which can be found opposite the Millennium Hotel in Sheikh Khalifa Bin Zayed St. The park features fountains, shaded mature trees, colorful flowers, shrubs and waterfalls. After entering through the tea-kettle like entrance you will find children’s play park, complete with little motocross bikes, inflatable and glowing rides. Each little bay of the garden has a few climbing frames, swings and slides. There is vending machines and cafeteria that will provide refreshment for all. This place is excellent if you want to avoid the busy streets of Abu Dhabi.
