JUMEIRAH MOSQUE - Dubai, United Arab Emirates
Jumeirah Mosque "masjid" is one of the largest of all mosques in Dubai making it one of the biggest and most photographed of all city attractions.
During the day, birds gather on the dome of the mosque and shelter in its surrounding tree-lined lawn. It is particularly attractive at night when subtle lighting increases its dramatic effect. It is the only Mosque in Dubai that accepts non-Muslims, but only on organized tours.
People have to assemble at the rear of the mosque at 10:00am on Thursday (every week). Ladies need to be covered - long skirts/trousers, long sleeves, hat/scarf for the head. Gentlemen need to wear trousers - Tshirt or shirt and not a vest. You need to take off your shoes before entering the mosque. Information about Islam is put up at the rear of the mosque. From mid-September onwards, the tour is conducted twice a week on Sunday and Thursday. The tour lasts approximately an hour and a half and the good news is photography is allowed.

DUBAI GOLD SOUQ - Dubai, United Arab Emirates
Souqs, Arabic open-air markets, have long been part of Dubai society. Gold is serious business in this part of the world and the dazzling souk near the Hyatt Regency stands testimony for this. The gold souk, or gold market, is a truely dazzling sight to behold. It has earned Dubai a reputation for being the 'City of Gold'.
There are said to be more than 125 shops here, selling silver, pearls, diamonds and rubies, as well as gold items fashioned in the differing styles of many countries. You can buy all sorts of exotic necklaces, bangles, earrings, brooches, rings, etc.

HATTA VILLAGE - Dubai, United Arab Emirates
The village represents another fine example of the Heritage of Dubai and the United Arab Emirates. Located 115km southeast of Dubai city in the heart of the rocky Hatta Mountains, it provides the visitor with a fascinating glimpse into Dubai's historical past. Hatta is a very refreshing place to visit, and it is not just because of the mountains. On your way to the mountain you will see the Hatta dam. It is 7meters high, glowing red and usually visitors can use their 4W drive cars to drive on it. Interesting colored rocks on the way and small gorge found during a little break. It is a very nice place to visit with your friends.
