BULL BUTTING - Fujairah, United Arab Emirates
This game was brought in UAE by the Portuguese between 16th to 17th centuries. All people both locals and visitors gathered the open field every Friday to watch these bulls’ battles. It started with 20bulls and bulls that won will qualified for the next round.
Two men are holding the end of the rope with the other head tied on the bull's nose. There's an arena master that gives the signal for the start and stop of the game. No whistle, no scoreboard, no line umpires, no video referees and no cheer teams. The bull should be able to butt the other bull out of the inner circle using the head. After 2-3 minutes it will be decided who won the game.
People from the nearby city enjoy this Friday event in Fujairah. But the one thing is quite dangerous in this game since people watching the game is not protected by fences, they just seated on the side on the field so bull might be able to run towards the audience.
