Union Monument - Sharjah, United Arab Emirates
The union monument is a monument committed to the "union" of the seven sovereign emirates into the United Arab Emirates. The most famous part is the central pillar, but what symbolizes this union is at its base: the sculptures of seven oysters with a pearl inside.
Each oyster symbolizes an emirate, and it was chosen because, by tradition, it is the area's main "business". The union is represented by the golden crown at the top of the pillar.

Central Market (Blue Souq) - Sharjah, United Arab Emirates
Considered as the main and famous attraction in Sharjah because of its unique design and consists of 600 shops. It has a attractive blue tiles on the outside walls and the 6 elongated buildings superimposed wind tower somewhat looks like Belle Epoque train station. An added attraction from this is the lawns and gardens that surround the building.
This place is divided into two wings, one that displays goods, gifts and electronics and the second section features gold, gems and jewelry. In the upper floors, aside from enjoying the panoramic view, there are also antiques, variety of fine rugs, silver jewelry, Omani and Yemeni antique jewelry and artifacts. The lower level gives you the gold jewelry, lavish stones, perfumes, textiles, cosmetics, cameras, clothing and household items. Those who love to shop especially for traditional or antique products usually visit this place.

Al Hish Sharjah Fort - Sharjah, United Arab Emirates
Al Hish Sharjah Fort, now a museum is located in the center of Sharjah City. It was constructed in 1820 by the late Sheikh Sultan bin Saqr Al Qasimi and in 1997 it was re-built to its original shape and style by H.H.Sheikh Dr Sultan bin Mhammed Al Qasimi, the Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Sharjah. Before, this is where the Al Qasimi Ruling Family lives.
The museum played an important role in the development of Emirates social, political, commercial and military activities. This is where you will find priceless items, old photographs, historical weapons and trading tools.

Qanat Al Qasba - Sharjah, United Arab Emirates
The whole family will surely enjoy this tourist attraction in Sharjah called the Qanat Al Qasba. It was re-opened to the public last April 2005 to watch over the development of the Qasba canal or Qanat Al Qasba as high-class and modern entertainment, cultural and leisure attractions, which are original and based on traditional Arabian values. With an area of 10,000 acres near the Dubai – Sharjah highway, QAQ comprises of a water canal of a depth of 5-meters, a length of 1,000-meters and a width of 30-meters.
“Eye of the Emirates”, the giant wheel offering panoramic view of the emirate's corniche, lagoons and landscape as well as the horizons of the neighboring Dubai is the major entertainment attraction not only in this place but for the whole UAE. This was designed in Netherlands and supervised by the world's reputed expert to comply with the international standards. It consists of 42 modern, air-conditioned cabins and can handle up to 336 riders at one time.
There is a 300-seat theatre, Masrah Al Qasba, where Arabian and International arts plays and traditional abras(wooden boats) sailing the canal for the guest a tour of the lagoon. Everybody also enjoys watching the water dance of the Al Qasba Musical Fountain all the time of the day.

Sharjah Natural History Museum and Desert Park - Sharjah, United Arab Emirates
One of the most famous tourist attractions in Sharjah is the Sharjah Natural History Museum and Desert Park. Here you can have the real information about the plant and animal life of the Arabian Desert. The desert park covers an area of one square kilometre and shows four-one venue with the Sharjah Natural History Museum, Sharjah Botanical Museum, Arabia’s Wildlife Centre and the Children’s Farm. There is an audiovisual located in the Geology hall that presents the story of life on earth from the beginning of the creation, earthquakes, volcanic eruptions and the Big Bang theory. Flora hall shows the wildflowers and desert ecology.
In the Arabia’s Wildlife Centre you will variety of Arabian animals such as Sand Cat, Camel Spiders, venomous vipers, Houbara Bustards, Rock Hyrax and hedgehogs. There's reptile house for rare species like snakes, lizards and insects. Children will have a great experience when visiting the Children's farm where they can have close contact and feed the sheep, lambs, goats, ponies and chickens. There is also a kitchen that serves fresh milk, homemade cheese and yogurt. The Breeding Centre of endangered wildlife is off limits to public.
