Khor Fakkan - Sharjah, United Arab Emirates
Khor Fakkan (Creek of the Two Jaws) has developed around the superb natural Bay of Khor Fakkan which is now a famous tourist spot in Sharjah. It is surrounded with mountains and beaches and you can stay overnight at the famous hotel near the place called Oceanic. It features coral outcrops ideal for diving and snorkeling. The cove has a long sandy beach backed by a promenade, where soft drinks and ice creams are on sale with swings, grass and shaded seating areas to enjoy.
Khalid Lagoon - Sharjah, United Arab Emirates
One of the major attractions in Sharjah is the Khalid Lagoon which is a man-made Lagoon. It comprises of 1,720,000 square hectares of water surfaces. The Corniche side which has several benches and walking track is the best place for relaxation, walking and jogging. It is also surrounded by a green landscape with grasses and palm trees. But, the major attraction of this of this Lagoon is the Water Fountain located at the center of it. The fountain which was completed on April 10, 1984 has a height of 100 meters, so it is the third highest fountain in the world after Jeddah fountain and Swiss fountain. Vibrant lighting adds to the beauty of the fountain and in turn of the lagoon.
Al Jazeera Park - Sharjah, United Arab Emirates
This is the place where the family enjoys outing and picnics that is also the reason why it is referred as the most family-oriented park in the Emirates. This was open on October 21, 1979 the same day of the Al Adha Eid holiday, with an approximate area of 250,000 square metres and located on an island inside the Khalid Lagoon.
Aside for the cars, boats and train that you may use for exploring the place, there are 18 games that you can enjoy such as the "Enterprise" which is the spaceship shape in rotation position and the astrojet game for the riders to experience space tour.
