Let's start counting the days for the opening of the Red Line for the World's largest automated driverless Metro System. Dubai Metro is expected to open its door by September 9, 2009 that will serve 1.2 million commuters.

This Red Line will run from Rashidiya to Jebel Ali via Sheikh Zayed Road. There are 29 stations including 4 undergrounds. This will carry 23,000 passengers per hour in each direction. Commuters will have the pleasure of travelling even in this summer months, since this will link major business centres, shopping malls and Dubai Airport's Terminals 1 and 3.

The Dubai Metro fare is not yet announced and the 23.9 km Green Line is scheduled to open by March 21, 2010.
